A Gluten Free Struggle

        Being gluten-free is a struggle that takes quite a while to get a better understanding of. Many people don't understand that not always is being gluten-free a choice we aren't all doing this for "fun".  Over the past 6 years of being a Celiac, I have had a few laughs what some people have told me.

1. You are going to have to be prepared for your food to ALWAYS come last to the table when you are out to eat.
2. People will tell you there is only a little bit of gluten in this food so you should be fine.
3. The waiter/ waitress will come back after letting you eat a few bites and say, "Oh yeah that is the nongluten free version.
4.  "Yeah, we have gluten-free food here". We get there and all they have is a salad dressing and an ice cube!

        If I could tell a business that promotes Celiac Disease I would tell them to better research it because we don't want to feel the pain from afterward. I would tell them if they are saying their fried food is gluten-free makes sure you get your own frier. DON'T use the same serving utensil as you did with the gluten-free one. No one is saying you should serve gluten-free but if you do please be careful because when a new place that has gluten-free food comes out we all want to go try it out. 

Gluten Free Lip Products

         So if any of you guys didn't know it is celiac awareness month and if you suffer from Celiac then you know how hard it is to find makeup that is gluten free, but I am here to help you! I am a makeup collector and I have tried a lot of brands. What I have figured out is that my body is fine if I put anything on my face that has gluten in it but not lip products! Reminder this is how my body reacts to gluten and yours might act differently, please be careful! I have been diagnosed with Celiac Disease for 6 years now so I like to think I know it pretty well.


Gluten free lip products-

KYLIE COSMETICS- I haven't had problems with them
Tarte- Everything is gluten free
Too Faced- Everything but borderline lip pencil
Macs- lipsticks are fine but none with creme in them
Bite Beauty- I would recommend this brand
Ulta- Lipsticks and lip glosses
Red Apple- Everything is Gluten free
Huda- Liquid lipsticks (Favorite Brand)

Anastasia Glow Kit collaboration with Nicole Guerriero

                      Anastaisa recently made a glow kit with Nicole Guerriero, it has beautiful colors in it super excited to wear this palette in the summer. In my opinion it isn't as good as the other glow kits but it is still super wonderful. This palette retails at $40 Us dollars. It comes with 6 different highlighter so you are definitely getting a good offer here.

The first color in the palette is called Kitty Kat it is pink colored highlight. I seriously only had to do one touch of the highlighter, it is pigmented!

The second color is called Forever Young it has a silver undertone and I am in love with it! This one is also super pigmented.

The third color is DayDream it has a more coral undertone which is super pretty but it isn't a highlighter I would wear myself but I think it would look beautiful on others.

Next color is Forever Lit which is a white silver undertone, I found that this one is kind of chalky in mine and has a lot of powder discharge. Just look at that highlighter though there is just so much pop to it!

The 5th color is called Glo Getter not going to lie I find myself leaning towards this one almost everyday. Glo Getter has a gold undertone and I love this one on my skin tone.

Lastly the most pigmented one is called 143 which is a super pretty color, I actually don't know why I don't use this one! This color has a more copper undertone which is my favorite in makeup.

Hit or Miss Kylie Lip Kits

               After finding out Kylie's liquid lipsticks were gluten free I hurried up to buy a lot before truly trying them. When buying her products you have a choice of both the liner and lipstick or one of either one. Liquid lipsticks are known for drying out your lips but Kylie's aren't like that, but I do know they are super hard to get off! ( I use waterproof makeup remover to get them off) Ordering from them was great I got my order super fast only con is you can't return. Kylie is someone I can trust with have gluten free products and I feel like she will have one product that will always look great with my skin type. My favorite liquid lipstick is Koko K and would definitely recommend! If you have any other questions about her liquid lipstick leave them down below.

My Beauty Routine

             


                                   Makeup is always a must in my day so I try and make it different every day. I don't know about you but I don't wear the same clothes every day so I like to do my makeup like my clothes most days, but I always lean towards this makeup look for a more natural look.

I start off on my face the de-slick by urban decay, sorry mine is super dirty that is the only con about this product is that it gets super dirty easily. When using this product do "x" and "t" formation and I let it dry for a few seconds before using my primers. I have been using this product for years and it is still my favorite.

I then use these two primers, I put the PORE fessional by benefit only on my pores and my oily prone skin, so my nose. I then put my Smashbox photo finish in light on the rest of my face.

I start off wetting my beauty blender at the beginning I didn't know you had to wet it down and it has totally made then better. I then mix those two foundations together, I just started using the water blend by makeup forever in R210 because my skin has been a little dry on my cheeks. If you don't mix it with another foundation the water blend is super light coverage and feels just like water. I like to mix mine in with a full coverage foundation like Double Wear by Estee Lauder in Ecru that foundation is by far my favorite I can sweat all day and it will still be on my face at night. Now with the Real Techniques buffing brush, I buff in the makeup on my face, I then take my wet beauty blender and PAT in the foundation. NEVER RUB OR DRAG WITH THE BEAUTY BLENDER! When putting on foundation build it up or else you will have a cake face and no one wants that. (Estee Lauder $39.50 Us)( Water Blend $43Us)

I put the Nars concealer under my eyes, I always recommend using two shades lighter then your foundation would be, so I got the lightest shade they have. Most of the time I don't have to cover blemishes but if I do I use the Age Rewind by Maybelline. (Nars $30 Us) (Age Rewind $8.99 Us)

After I put on my liquid products I need to powder my face ensure everything stays in place! I really enjoy Mac's studio fix powder, don't use a lot of this because it can also make your face look cakey and we are wanting a natural look. ($28 Us)

Now I put on my Hoola by Benefit which everyone has but I use my cute unicorn brushes by Tarte as the contour brush because it is flat headed. Bronzer always looks amazing in the summer because you look tan but secretly you never went out in the sun.  (Limited Edition) ( Tarte Brush $39 Us)

    

Since it is summer time I want a glowy blush but not too bright. I don't care who you are everyone looks good in blush. I use this brush and I put it above my bronzer to the apple of my cheeks and all the way up to the tip of my eyebrow. This is by Too Faced and it is in Peach Beach. ($30 Us)

I really enjoy this eyebrow pencil by Anastasia it is the brow definer so it has a brush on the other side which is a plus. Now since this is natural look don't over do it just fill in areas that need it.

In the Lorac Pro palette 3, I just use to simple colors which are canvas and cool taupe. Now you can use really anything just nothing too bold or outgoing. ( $44 Us)

Last but not least I use my better than sex mascara on my lashes and your natural look is done!
